Jason of the Argonauts
HUNTIK Glossary Jason is an ancient Greek hero appeared on Mission - Jason and the Argonauts. The mission was to reach the port of Velos, find the flagship Argo (a magical ship owned by the ancient Greek hero Jason), retreive Jason's log book and his Titans Hoplites.
Jason was the leader of the Argonauts and he was married to the sorceress Medea.
In Greek mythology, the Argonauts were a band of heroes who, in the years before the Trojan War, accompanied Jason to Colchis (modern day Georgia) in his quest to find the Golden Fleece. Their name comes from their ship, the Argo, which was named after its builder, Argus. "Argonauts", therefore, literally means "Argo sailors".
