HUNTIK Episode 9: Absent Heroes
Aired Feb 28, 2009

Character Debuts: Metz (Dante's Mentor, the founder and the bedridden leader of the Huntik Foundation)
Titan Debuts: Icarus (Sophie Casterwill), King Basilisk (Zhalia Moon)
Other Debuts: The Cypherdex (Holotome of the Casterwill Family)

In Metz Country Estate, Germany, Dante is with a friend named Metz, who is struck with an incurable illness. Metz is the bedridden leader of the Huntik Foundation.

Venice, Italy.. Dante is back, and he tells about his trip to Vienna. While Dante doesn't tell the team about the aim of his trip, he is going Vienna to find a cure for Metz, who suffers greatly because of a mysterious illness that no medicine or magic can heal. The others want to join him.

At the same time in the Organization Central, DeFoe is exercising and Rassimov offers him a retrieval mission: He will go Vienna and bring back the Titan Basilisk. Rassimov also gives DeFoe a special key for this mission.

Huntik Foundation Safehouse, The Spittelberg, Vienna, Austria.. Dante leaves the team, and Lok and Sophie decide to find the address in the Journal, an address in Vienna that Lok's father Eathon Lambert mentioned in the Journal.

They get to the address, and up on the roof is the statue of the Titan King Basilisk. Right at the moment, DeFoe, Grier and 3 Suits enter the building. There's no doubt the Organization is after the Titan. Lok and Sophie follow them.

Under the building is a labyrinth, and surprisingly they meet Zhalia there. DeFoe and his agents have a map, so if our heroes get the map in some way, maybe they will reach the Titan King Basilisk before them.

While DeFoe and his team is already there, our team fights with them and they lose, Sophie and Zhalia runs so only Lok and DeFoe left. Lok doesn't have power to overcome DeFoe, so how he will escape? Titan Cherit comes with a very different solution: He fools DeFoe imitating the voice of Dante Vale exactly ! Using his astonishment, Lok gets the Map from DeFoe.

Zhalia and Sophie catch up, now they have the map but how will they use it? Sophie uses her Cypherdex to scan the map, but at the same time DeFoe is using his Teknonomicon to seek our heroes.

In somewhere in Vienna by the way, Dante meets with a mysterious man, probably a man who has a cure for Metz. They exchange briefcases there, the man takes the one with -probably- the money, and Dante takes the one with the medicines. Returning to the Huntik Foundation Safehouse, he notices that the team left with the Journal and the Cypherdex and he leaves for joining them.

In the labyrinth we see that the Map was a trap. DeFoe and his team of Suits catch Lok, Sophie and Zhalia and DeFoe takes the amulets of Lok and Sophie using the Seeker Power 'Sorrowbond'.

King Basilisk is a special Titan that turns victims into stone with its gaze. Our heroes are again in trouble, but Dante attacks and attempts to free Lok and Sophie. During the fight, Zhalia bonds with the Titan King Basilisk and that results in another defeat for DeFoe and his team. They leave.

On the way, Lok finds the key that Rassimov gave DeFoe before the mission, now the question is why Lok's Father have a drawing of this key in his Journal.
