Metagolem is incredibly powerful, but he's difficult to summon unless his Seeker is in great danger.

Some legends tell of a time when a weak Seeker summoned him, and he raged out of control, nearly destroying a city.

A golem is a creature from folklore that defended the Jews of Prague against evil. Nowadays, “golem” usually means any large creature brought to life with magic. Metagolem Titan in HUNTIK needed to be big and strong, so he is made of heavy stone. To make him even more powerful and impressive, he has metal armbands, chest armor, and a helmet. Some early art for Metagolem had him looking brutish and clumsy, but in the end, we decided we wanted him to be upright and impressive rather than stooped and ugly.

Trivia: The word golem comes from the Hebrew word gelem which means “raw material,” as the mythical golem was made from clay.

Huntik is an animated series which Big Bocca - an Irish-based entertainment production and licensing company who specialize in bringing top notch animation programs to the world - is co-producing with Rainbow SpA of Italy.

Huntik made its debut at the MIPCOM show in Cannes last October and will debut on television around the world in Spring, 2008. Huntik was created and is directed by legendary Italian animator Iginio Straffi, who also created The Winx Club and Monster Allergies.
